Nori Flow keeps everyday dictation on your Mac. Speech-to-text runs locally, cleanup runs locally, and the core workflow works offline.
Local speech and cleanup
Nori Flow records from the microphone and performs core speech-to-text locally with an on-device model.
Optional cleanup also runs locally, so normal dictation does not depend on cloud processing.
Permissions and app-aware formatting
Microphone access is required to record speech. Accessibility access is optional and only needed if you want Nori Flow to auto-paste text back into another app.
If you enable Context Aware formatting, Nori Flow can use the current app and field as a formatting hint so email, chat, and coding inputs do not all get treated the same way.
Offline use after setup
Nori Flow can download the speech model on demand, and optional local cleanup can require a separate model download.
The core dictation workflow works offline. Network access is mainly for checkout, licensing, and support flows.
